Joan Askegaard

Joan joined Lindner Media Productions in November of 2013 as the company’s controller.  She loves interacting with the creative and energetic staff, and she is thrilled to be part of such a dynamic and exciting organization.

Joan’s personal life and experiences make Lindner Media a good fit for her. Joan, her husband, and her three sons are all wilderness camping enthusiasts (canoeing and backpacking), and their trips always center around fishing. Their favorite destinations have been the Quetico Provincial Park in Ontario – where they pursue walleye, pike, smallmouth bass and lake trout; and, the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area in Montana, where they enjoy fly-fishing various forks of the Blackfoot River.

Joan and her family also enjoy fishing in their own backyard here in Minnesota. When the children were younger, they formed “The Tangled Lines Family Fishing League”, which was a great success in getting families out fishing on the wonderful Brainerd area lakes. Now, Joan and her husband have organized and host summer fishing outings for Kinship Partners, which is a non-profit youth mentoring organization serving families in the Brainerd Lakes Area.

Joan obtained her degrees in theology and pastoral ministries from St. Catherine’s University in St. Paul, MN. After teaching high school for two years in Hawaii, she returned to Minnesota and discovered she had both an interest and aptitude for small business operations. She has over 25 years of experience in office management, administration and accounting.
