Mike, like every other individual at Lindner Media, has been fishing ever since he can remember. His father was and still is an avid fisherman; he had Mike out in the boat even before he learned to walk. As a teenager, he spent two summers working and guiding at Bratton’s Resort on Pelican Lake near Orr, Minnesota. These were the glory days of the giant bluegills.
With a B.S. degree in Fisheries from the University of Minnesota, Mike spent his final two summers in college interning at Cy DeCosse, Inc., a publisher of The Hunting and Fishing Library series of how-to books. After graduating, he was hired on full time, and chose the path of fishing photography. It was here at Cy DeCosse that Mike met Bill Lindner. Soon after, they started working together as Bill Lindner Photography, shooting stills/video and selling stock fishing and food images.
Today, he is based in Brainerd, Minnesota as an independent contractor still selling stock photography/doing media management for Bill Lindner Photography. He also works with for Lindner’s Angling Edge as a field producer for the Lund Ultimate Fishing Experience TV show.
Besides spending time with his wife, Betsy, and adult daughter, Abbi, a known outdoor videographer, Mike’s favorite leisure activities include chasing smallmouth bass and walleye on Mille Lacs Lake, and ruffed grouse hunting with his cocker spaniel named Jack.
